January Fun

Last week was crazy. School was supposed to resume after the holidays on Jan 4th. But, due to the food situation with the move from old high school to new high school, school was cancelled the 4th and 5th. Then, crazy storm moved in the night of the 5th, dumping enough snow and wind to cancel school the 6th and 7th. So, Friday the 8th, school started late (10:00) giving them time to plow the roads. All the extra time off school gave us lots of bonding time with Buddy the Hamster.

The cancelled school also provided some fun times in the snow. There is a 15 foot snow bank in theparking lot of the church across the street.

Probably the best news is the sledding hill. You don't realize the luxury of a hill that is not man made. That doesn't have telephone poles and grain bins to dodge. Our Mobridge sledding hill is huge and we loved it!

The walk up the hill is a whole lot harder. But hey, it's a good work out.

Rylee couldn't figure out how to go straight. She flipped around backwards every time!



Well, the weather is nice today. The kids are at school. Life is back to normal.
