Easter weekend started with a visit from some of our favorite friends. Anna, Bailey, Amber and Logan came on Thursday for some fun in the south. Anna and I had big plans for bike rides and long walks by the river. It had been 70's-80 all week and we couldn't wait. However, Friday dawned with snow covered grounds and wind strong enough to down powerlines. We did a little Main St. shopping until the power went out while Anna was in a dressing room. And then headed home and just hung out. They left Sat. afternoon, and it warmed up almost as soon as they left, so the girls and I did some riverside biking, without the Pierce bunch.
Saturday afternoon we finally got around to dyeing our Easter eggs. Doesn't matter how old the kids get or whether they still believe in the Easter Bunny, they still love the dying of the eggs.
After the eggs were colored, we did more bike riding, grilling and movie watching until 11:00 when I could finally convince the girls they should go to bed. They had set up the tent in their bedroom and had fun camping out and waiting for Easter.
Rusty was a little more excited about Easter eggs than the girls were.
After everything had been found, the girls tried on their Easter swimsuits and outfits. Rylee wanted a cute and stylish summer outfit, Brooklyn wanted Mobridge Tiger gear for track.
We miss out family often, but most especially on holidays. Wish we were all together. We'd love to host a huge family Easter Egg hunt? Whose game?
